OUR MISSION

Our mission goes beyond providing high-quality Jackfruit to international markets. We are deeply
committed to supporting local communities. Through our partnership with Mão na Jaca, a renowned
non-governmental organisation, we empower women by teaching them how to use and prepare
Jackfruit as a meat substitute. This initiative not only provides new skills and financial independence
but also fosters sustainable practices and healthy eating habits in the community.

Our Mission

In a time when ever-growing inflation in the food industry places additional strain on vulnerable populations, our efforts help combat these struggles. By providing accessible, nutritious food options and promoting economic stability through fair trade practices, we strive to make a meaningful difference. Our commitment extends beyond immediate aid, aiming for long-term empowerment and resilience in the face of economic challenges

Mão na Jaca has been instrumental in uplifting local communities through various educational and support programs. They focus on:

 

  • Skill Development: Offering culinary workshops with Jackfruit, demonstrating the full use of the fruit in savoury dishes in innovative ways, all with the aim of reconnecting people with urban forests.

  • Sustainable Practices: Promoting environmentally friendly farming techniques and responsible growth management of Jackfruit trees.

 

“From 2021 until now, more than 12,000 kilos of Jackfruit have been donated to people in vulnerable situations. “We propose to put Jackfruit on the table of all Brazilians, to make use of the abundance of food that is often wasted in the city, while so many people are starving.
